East Glacier, MT

June 4, 2010 - Driving around 30 miles on switchback mountain road, from the mediocre Blackfeet Tipi experience, we decided to check out Glacier National Park on the east, Saint Mary Lake side, near the Canadian border.  We rolled through the rain and drove the east side of Going to the Sun Road for 13 1/2 miles til the closed portion (the other side of the snow plowing).  We had clouded views of the Jackson Glacier, tried to hike Sun Point Nature Trail (but turned around because it was too rainy and I started feeling super sick), checked into the lodge at St. Mary where I nursed my fever and walked around Two Medicine Lake the following day in the rain.  The magnificent Glacier Rockies were still completely awe-inspiring, regardless of the crap weather and untimely sickness.
