Hoh Rain Forest in Olympic National Park

Aug. 28 - 29, 2010 - From Port Angeles, we drive 87 miles on the 101 to Olympic National Park.  We stayed in the enchanting Hoh Rain Forest, a stretch of Pacific Northwest rain forest, receiving 140 - 170 inches of precipitation annually.  The last time we saw this much Jurassic shades of green was in the tropical rain forests of the Philippines.  The coniferous and deciduous trees are covered in canopies of moss, with the ground blanketed with ferns.  Truly, this is where the imagination of fairies and dinosaurs come from!  We absolutely loved the trails and our 2 night camp here, with the clean smell of leafy dew and trees dripping with moss.

Using Charlie as perspective for many of the shots to show how Jurassic this place is.
Unreal!
