June 22, 2010 - Driving out of Bryce Canyon, we drive 169 miles from the 89 to the 67, arriving the North Rim entrance of the famed Grand Canyon. Unfortunately over-crowded, we opted for a short hike just to view America's treasured work of nature. It was truly grand, but too grand for us to stay in the overdeveloped and fully booked disappointment of a campground and visitor area. We then drive 160 miles and work our way towards Zion National Park, which sadly had a road closure, so we tiredly move on and drive another 60 miles for an overnight stop in Cedar City, UT. Completely exhausted from driving, we contemplate our next destination, Great Basin National Park, and hope we have better luck finding camp.
The Grand Canyon! North Rim.
