Portland, OR

July 13 & 14, 2010 -We arrive Portland, Oregon after 259 miles driving north on the 5 from Crater Lake.  Our 2 night stay here was relaxing as we enjoyed eating and walking the city.  We had an amazing dinner at The Farm Cafe, walked to Voodoo Doughnuts, went vintage shopping, had amazing ice cream from 50 Licks, checked out the Burnside Skatepark, and did nothing.  Portland was quite the low-key city stop.

The famed Voodoo Doughnuts!
The well-worth-the-wait line for our doughnuts around 9pm.
Our Voodoo Doughnuts spread!  OMG.  Clockwise from top: Miami Vice Berry (Raised yeast doughnut with vanilla frosting, blue raspberry powder and pink sprinkles), Old Dirty Bastard (Raised yeast doughnut with chocolate frosting, Oreo’s and peanut butter), Old Fashion Blueberry, & the No Name (Raised yeast doughnut with chocolate frosting, rice krispies and peanut butter).  Yes, we ate them all.
50 Licks homemade ice cream in a box, bought next to their corpo store in the Lower Burnside area.  SOO GOOD.  They have maple bacon ice cream. Crazy!
