Visalia, CA with TZ!

June 27 - 28, 2010 - Our last stop before heading home to Sunset Beach was the hot and humid, Visalia.  Driving a long and HOT 102 degrees, 82 miles through the scenic Generals Hwy (we sat in the heat for some road construction which felt like DAYS), we arrive my friend Tawnya's place in Visalia.  It has been months since I've seen one of my best gals and I was super excited to hang with her and her lovely parents, Linda and Freddie.  We barbecued the day away and listened to Tawnya's most amazing vinyl collection.  I also got to feel like a girl and watched Sex and the City 2 at their local theatre with T.  Freddie exchanged truck driving stories with Charlie back at the house (which Charlie loved).  Basically, we did what we do best and took it easy.

The following day, TZ, Charlie and I took a bike ride through the city in unfortunate 100 degree humid heat.  And unfortunately I suffered heat exhaustion and was bedridden for the rest of the night.  Still, it was super awesome to see TZ, her family, steal 8 gigs of her music and just do nothing with great people on our last day before heading home.  TZ and her family were so gracious to let us crash their pad, can't wait for some more vinyl sessions on our way back down from Alaska!

oh, TZ... savin' the day and opening the large bottle of Heiny for the boys.
