Whitehorse, YT to Haines Junction, YT

Aug. 1 & 2, 2010 - Traveling 113 miles from Teslin on the Alaska Highway, we arrive our bed and breakfast in Whitehorse, YT.  Our 2 night stop in the Yukon's capital was relaxing, pre-booked at Mt. Lorne Aurora Bed and Breakfast.  We took advantage of the small city and leisurely walked the town, recuperated from our long haul biking, checked out a few museums and took a scenic hike.

Aug. 3, 2010 - The overnight Haines Junction camping stop, 111 miles from Whitehorse on the Alaska Hwy was simply a pass-on-thru stop, with the most spectacular glacier flightseeing day trip (pics on next post).

Engine 51, a steam locomotive used to build the historic White Pass & Yukon Route Railway at the MacBride Museum.
Hiking near Schwatka Lake suspended bridge.
Klondike Rib & BBQ.  Our amazing meals!  Charlie's half rack ribs and my fresh arctic char!
Our B n B for 2 nights.
Pine Lake Campground in Haines Junction.  The most horrible, uneven ground we've slept on thus far.
