Big Spring, TX

April 17 - 18, 2010  Hello from our rest stop at the Motel 6 in Big Spring, TX.  We drove about 245 miles in the crazy rain from the Guadalupe Mountains through what was the longest stretch of oil fields surrounding the highway (at least 100 miles of fields on the road).  The smell was petroleum for a good 100 miles as plain fields of oil pumps were as far as the eye could see.  Welcome to Texas.  We are off towards Johnson City to view the flowers fields... weather permitting!
