April 19, 2010 -Our plans to Johnson City to view wildflowers surrounding the city changed after discovering on the web, the
Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin. This sustainable conservation center preserves and teaches of native wildflowers, plants and landscapes. Even with the overcast weather, it was indeed delightful to walk their public gardens, woodlands and meadows filled with wildflowers and Texas native trees. There were too many pretty flowers to snap pictures of.
A view of their meadow on the loop trail.
Bluebonnet
Pink Evening Primrose
Dandelion
Indian Painbrush
Budding Cactus
Antelope Horns
Taking a break.
